Love it or loathe it! Purple is worth a second look.
Purple or violet is currently not commonly used in interior design, it is a color which suggests royalty and spirituality, so perhaps it can be a bit of an intimidating color to use around the house!
However it does sneak in when we are not looking in various disguises!
By simply adding white we create a tint of purple and these colors we know well as mauves, lilacs and lavenders. These softer more restful versions of purple are used frequently in our home decorating, especially in bedrooms and bathrooms as they promote day dreaming and inner calmness. There you go, purple without thinking about it!
