Curtain Dezine Tip - The Basics Rules of Curtains

Rules are for those wanting to conform to a standard, and creative interior designers tend to make up their own guidelines as following rules would only curb creativity! Therefore we only have a few simple rules, or should I say guidelines to follow here; the length of the hung curtain should be to the floor or the windowsill.
Anything in between looks rather odd and is difficult to balance.

There is a popular groundswell trend of puddling curtains, this is where they are made quite a bit longer than the height required to reach the floor and therefore "puddle" on the floor. This requires a skill in fabric selection, so that they sit well and it is great for those with a paid cleaner, as they can become a bit of a dust collector! Puddling is used commonly in living rooms and bedrooms, and when placed well looks elegant with it's fluid puddle of fabric at ground level!
