Choosing a floor color is a very important exercise as it does dominate the interior space. So here are a couple of tips to help you out! To make your color scheme feel grounded or bottom heavy, select a dark color flooring ie dark stained timber floor boards, dark blues, greens or browns carpets, dark granites, dark ceramic tiles with matching grouts, and the reverse works for making a space feel light, airy and harmonious by selecting a very light color flooring ie pale timbers, cream carpet, pale ceramic tiles with matching grout, whitewashed floorboards, white marble.
