Accent colors are a great way to liven up a room. Often people are too scared to add colors, patterns or textures to a room, but by using them as accents you can gradually layer them around the room until you get the right amount of detail to the space. This can be done by using the most popular accent items, cushions, lampshades, area rugs, curtain tie backs, artwork, or throws.
