We recently redecorated our master bedroom. We chose a beautiful chocolate brown for the walls that creates a warm and cozy feeling and is very peaceful and restful. But lighting became a huge issue because the room is now quite dark. We solved the problem by placing "up-lighting" behind a headboard we made ourselves so that light washes up the wall and highlights the art over the bed and providing more light. Lighting is crucial.
