Stripes – Love Them or Hate Them?

Stripes – Love them or hate them? – I love them, there are so many different variations that you can use them in almost any situation. Great for wallpaper, fantastic as upholstery fabric, groovy on lampshades, practical on carpet tiles. My favorite way to use stripes is varying the width of the stripe in the same colorway in different areas around the room and then adding a big bold pattern in the same colors. It creates a focal point and adds action and creativity to the space. You can then use blocks of the color from the stripes around the room to balance the color in the room, it is easily done with throw cushions, flowers, floor rugs, vases, throws.
