Great ideas for saving space in the children's rooms. Another space saving technique is installing a ceiling fan which takes the bulky fan from off the floor and leaves more free room for toys!

Great info. I also feel that one needs a color pallette so to speak. What works best is to pick a color and use this color in varying depths in the adjoining rooms. I tend to use a camel/beige color and add splashes of brick red, gold, green and merlot. These colors are evident in ALL of my spaces. I feel that in using a specific color pallette one can create a home with flow a harmoniuos flow, not a coat of many colors. After taking much time to pick your colors stick with your original choices. Also it is easier to match a fabric with an existing color rather than an existing color with a fabric.

As an interior decorator I find that most of my clients decorate in a theme whether they realize it or not. They have accumulated a collection of like items over the years. When I point this out they are surprised. This helps me guide them in a decorating direction as I now have a taste of what they like.
